HOW TO KNOW HER RING SIZE WITHOUT ASKING HER

Be subtle
If a jewelry commercial pops up and you take it as your cue to start asking her about what kind of jewelry she likes, she might get the hint. If you can, lead the conversation – or let her take charge with your guidance. If she comments on a jewelry commercial, saying she likes or dislikes something, take that as a cue to ask a follow up question – such as why? If a friend or family member gets a new piece of jewelry and starts showing it off, use it as a jumping point to ask subtle questions or as an opportunity to listen carefully to what your girlfriend says.

You’ll not only get a better idea of what style she likes, but you might get around to getting her to reveal the size.

Sneak in while she sleeps
If she falls asleep on the couch during Sunday football, this might be your opportunity to do the measuring yourself. Remember to measure the correct finger—she’ll be wearing this on her left hand, second finger next to the pinky!

Grab a small string of some kind and lightly wrap it around the base of her finger. When you pull it away, mark the length of the string with a piece of tape or marker. Take it the jeweller when you go to pick out the ring and you’ll be pretty close to the perfect size.

Check the jewellery box

Checking her jewellery box is one of the easiest ways to determine her ring size. Just be careful. A ring she wears on her thumb or middle finger will be very different in size than the one she wears on her ring finger.

It might be best to take in a few different rings from the jewellery box and have the jeweller get the average size. Or, take notice if she sometimes wears a specific ring on her ring finger, and use that one for measurement! (Trace out the ring on a piece of paper, and bring it to a jeweller for sizing!)

Just be sure to return the ring quickly before she notices!

Improvise your measurement tactic
If you’ve successfully found a ring in her jewellery box, but don’t want to risk taking it away for the day, you’re still in luck. You can do two things here.

The first option is to grab a bar of soap – the hotel mini bars are the perfect size – and push the ring down into the soap to get an imprint. Make sure you wipe away any soap residue, otherwise it’s a red flag and can potentially give you away! The second option is use wax, and to push the ring over a candle stick. When the ring stops, make a mark on the candle stick. Again, make sure there isn’t any waxy residue on the ring. Now you can take the soap or candle to the jeweller to help find your girlfriend’s ring size.

If neither of these options seem like they might work, trace the ring. Get a piece of paper and a pencil – be sure to use a pencil, as a pen could ink onto the band of the ring. Lay the ring on the paper and trace the inside circumference of the ring. The jeweller will be able to size the ring from your tracing. Tracing is a safe option, so you don’t have to worry about sneaking the ring out of the house or getting it dirty with soap or wax.

OR you have the opportunity to take a proper and exact measurement of the finger (left hand), then you will be needing a tailors tape rule, using the centimetres part of the tape rule, wrap the finger firmly, and take note of the centimeters you got, then compare it with the below standard ring size guide (U.S SIZE CHART)

5.5 centimeters = Size 6
6 centimetres = Size 7
6.5 centimetres = Size 8
7 centimetres = Size 9
7.5 centimetres = Size 10
8 centimetres = Size 11
8.5 centimetres = Size 12
9 centimetres = size 13

Most average Female Fingers are More of a size 8, the extra extra slimmy fingers can be a size 6, the slim fingers can be a size 7, the big fingers are mostly size 9, while the rare and huge fingers are size 10. rarely will a lady be a size 11,12 or 13 as such rarely exist.

Most average Male Fingers are More of a size 10, some men are size 9, slim men are size 8, rarely will a man wear a size 7, some big fingers wear a size 11, huge fingers take a size 12 or 13.
