Happy Wednesday, steemians!

I am posting late tonight, since I've been busy all day, but it is still Wednesday in Toronto, therefore I am posting my Wednesday walk now. Today, I am sharing with you my photos of public art near St. Andrew Station in Toronto that I took a couple of weeks ago (now the trees are much greener, even tough it's still quite cold).

It is really hard to find any information online about the sculptures, but after unreasonable time of googling, I stumbled upon Toronto Sculpture, an online database and gallery of sculptures in Toronto. Even there, there's not much information, about the statues, but you can at least find the name, author and year of creation. That's the information I am showing now, too.

This one is easy, it has all the info displayed on the pedestal.

The Hand by Sorel Etrog (1972)

I am not sure if "Architectural Sculpture" is the name of the artwork, or just the description. I love the cityscape in the background with reflections in glass windows.

It is interesting how many public artworks you can find in such a small area - around five minutes of walk time (maybe less). And there are definitely more that I did not capture. What about you, steemians? Are you interested in public art? What is your favourite piece?
