Wednesday Walk_Makes ME Smile_ Mount Canlaon Under Alert Level #1
It's a fine day my dear steemians and as usual, I accompanied Antonia up to the parking space for commercial motorcycles. This is the normal rides for students in commuting to school.
I dropped by the little cafe for my first cup of brewed coffee with 'budbud' (sweet glutinous rice wrapped with banana leaf) at the corner of the university belt. The gate is at the far end on the above photo. The banderetas looks good across the road. This is in preparation for our coming annual festival.
The road looks calm with the shadows of the tree prawling along the cemented path. You can see the soccer goal at the right far end. My grandkids played soccer there too.
I walked back to our house again, feeling refreshed after taking my coffee. It was then that I heard the goats of our neighbor making noise profusely. I know something is wrong because animals are sensitive when they see snakes or when they feel some vibrations under the ground.
When I looked up, I saw the thick smoke beside the trees. So that was the reason why the goats panicked. They have sensed danger.
As I went further, I saw the smoke above Mt. Canlaon. She's having her tantrums again. My daughter in-law later sent us a news report that My. Canlaon is under alert level #1. It may seem not so thick but the back part was oozing with thick smoke since the Occidental side of the volcano has wider opening compared to the Oriental side which is Canlaon.
The thought makes ME smile. She's like a lady with unpredictable tantrums just like me. :)
My thanks to @tattoodjay and @elizacheng for their collaboration on this entry.
Happy Wednesday everyone!

Till then,

What a lovely walk and isnt it amazing how animals have such strong sense for danger
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :)
Snakes are even more sensitive. Way back 1986, the volcano spewed dark smoke way up the sky for about 180 degrees and the smoke was so thick like that of an atomic bomb while we ran outside and watched in silent awe as if waiting for the fire to follow. You could hear the sound of big rocks as if grinding inside the crater. There was rambling again at night and you could see from afar a hundred torches going down the mountain like fireflies. That was my first experience to witness a volcanic eruption. And it was so amazing that the big snakes went down the river first instead of the people living up there. They've felt the danger. It was my unforgetable experience and I hope it won't happen again just like Mount Taal in Tagaytay.
WOw that is so interesting and yes seeing a volcano erupt is such a powerful experienc e
According to the Bible, Is there such a thing as untimely death in the Bible?
