The Gamechanging Movie

As a trademark of the Counterculture Movement and a Milestone Moment of a generation that has impressed its imagination, the 1969 counterculture film Easy Rider explores American Society in the late 1960s by treating the rise and fall of the hippie movement as well as #Marijuana use to shook the studio system to its core 50 years ago and became famous for the fact that the film used Real Marijuana and other substance.

Easy Rider, the 35mm celluloid woodstock, the reckless hippy gypsies’ manifesto of endless asphalt ribbon was a revolutionary independent road drama, starring Peter Fonda as Wyatt and Dennis Hopper as Billy.

The two motorcyclists, Wyatt & Billy are drug-dealing hippies traveling from Los Angeles to the American South, including New Orleans, during the height of the tumultuous Vietnam War era. The two meet other hippies, do drugs, pick up hitchhikers, and get into mischief before meeting their violent ends.

The success of Road Drama Movie helped spark the New Hollywood era of filmmaking during the early 1970s, and the film was included in the US Library of Congress Register in 1998.

The Easy Rider Actor

He is Peter Henry Fonda (February 23, 1940 – August 16, 2019). The 60s icon, the actor, the screenwriter, the son of Henry Fonda, the younger brother of Jane Fonda, the father of Bridget Fonda, the part of the counterculture of the 1960s, who carved his own path with his Nonconformist Tendencies and earned an Oscar nomination for co-writing the psychedelic road trip movie Easy Rider. He accidentally shot himself and nearly died on his 11th birthday (He told this story often, during an acid trip with members of the Beatles and the Byrds) and this the reason why Fonda reportedly said:

I know what it’s like to be dead.

According to the National Enquirer; Peter Fonda like to smoke the #Weed with his sister Jane Fonda and her boyfriend. They were seen manytimes lighting up and were giggling hysterically and hoarding several hors d’oeuvres trays.

Peter Fonda admits he smoked Real #Pot in Easy Rider. In the memorable campfire scene where Jack Nicholson's character tries pot for the first time, Fonda confirms he was smoking Real Weed with co-stars Nicholson & Dennis Hopper.

R.I.P. Peter Fonda

He was pushing 80 when he passed away early Friday morning. it was respiratory failure due to lung cancer that took him out. But that Gamechanging 1969 movie made him Immortal, freezing him in time as Wyatt, the Stoned Biker chasing an elusive freedom.

Wearing a leather jacket (a large U.S. flag sewn across the back) on a Harley and going by the handle Captain America, Fonda rode into screen history by roaring through the American south in celebration of hippies, communes, drugs, free love, and anything that raised a finger to the Establishment.
