Weight loss journey - Week 3 - slowly but surely still losing

in #weightloss5 years ago

So after my third week I lost and additional 2.5 pounds bringing my total lost to 17.7 pounds. My start weight was 281.2 and I realized I never shared my before picture so attached to this is me at the beginning of my journey.

So this week has definitely been my hardest week so far which kinda sucks because it’s was only week 3. I started really craving more sweets and I found the little snacks that were working at the beginning weren’t as effective now. You can only chew on almonds and reduced fat popcorn so much before you really just don’t wanna see it. So I’m starting to change up snacks a bit so I don’t become bored as easily and hopefully that helps.

Weight watchers has been a great app so far and I haven’t gone over my points at all just yet. I’m planning to go a little over when the super bowl comes because my wife and I always go to our friends party and it’s filled with amazing snacks and food. Just have to keep myself in check and don’t go too crazy.

2.5 pounds maybe not have been a whole lot for this week as compared to the first two but if I can keep this pace it would be awesome. At this rate I would be almost 200 pounds by the middle of June which I know probably won’t happen but it’s nice to dream a little. My first goal is 249 so I can say I’m closer to 200 then 300. My second goal would be 225 and then everything else would kinda be gravy for me(umm gravy).

The support I’m getting from my family, friends and coworkers has been amazing. My dad was inspired to start watching his food and he lost 5 pounds this week and my coworker even signed up for weight watchers with me. My wife has really been the mvp though, she’s helping me plan dinners better and cooking great healthy food. Her support has been second to none!

So that’s my three week update. I’ll be back next week to fill you in on my progress!

P.s a random person at work told me I look like I lost weight and that was a huge compliment that has really charged me back up.

Great going on your diet. I like eating a less known diet called Carnivore. Yep, pretty much nothing but animal products, meat, cheese, eggs, stuff like that. Its a high fat and high protein diet, which makes you feel full and satisfied with each meal.

I noticed that I believe my teeth seem healthier when I eat that way and it is definitely easier to get strong with it. I combine it with 36hr+ fasts, sometimes doing two or three day fasts in the week. Autophagy is important, when losing weight you want autophagy activated in the body.

The keto diet is the best for weight loss and increased health.
It's worth trying, a diet without having to go hungry! 😉

Congrats, 2.5 lbs a week is a really good pace :)

Good luck with your weight loss. Weight Watchers can be a great tool to help you get a handle on portion control and things like that. I have used it in the past. I feel like it is one of the best tools out there because it isn't requiring you to radically change your diet. It is the small things that help you lose the way slowly but surely. My diet has always been pretty decent but I have recently added some exercise into my daily life. I haven't really felt or seen the results yet besides feeling more flexible. I am hoping it will come with time though.
