I'm not sure that there's a release date for the SMT per se. People have already started adopting the SMT concept into their website like @Appics for example https://appics.com/ so you can look forward to the release of that later this year.

I could be wrong. According to the comment before this one by @dannyzen, SMT may not exist yet. Still trying to clarify this.
