2018 and 2017 is in the past

2017 was quite an exciting year.
My favorite moments were visiting China with my cousins. It is very hard to get such a chance.
My most dangerous moment was chasing after a thief that stole a beanie from my store. He left the store looking fishy, so re-winded the security camera recorded footage and saw how he stole it. Then after half an hour later, the thief walked calmly passing by and I recognized his orange shirt with black 88 letters on it and chased after him. He ran very fast and I was always behind. A lady working at a high end cafe shop lend me her stick and I was able to hit the thief with the stick, but he ran faster. Then a Malaysian (javaan) man with a scooter told me to hope on and we chased after him, but he still got away by running zigzag through streets. I gave up and returned the stick and went back to the store, also seeing that my father ran out with a stick to aid me. Then not long after, a guy working a few stores away told me that the police caught the thief hiding in a roti shop. My father and I went to the police station and got our beanie back. The police couldn't charge the thief because it was an inexpensive item and even if we did, we can choose to go to a higher ranked police station, but we were fine just getting our stuff back.
