Diary of Mr. Hainanese 02092020 Covid Quarantine Day in Brunei : Departure Part 1

Due to covid situation and some other issues, I have been assigned to a new project in another country!

My next destination is Brunei!

As you all aware that, traveling across the border during this pandemic period is no joke at all.

We not only need to apply for special visa for entry but also the “best” part of 14 days quarantine!

Let’s see my journey of day 1!

Depart from Senai airport to Subang airport (destination changed to Subang by Firefly because my flight to KLIA is cancelled, without proper arrangement for the passengers to connect next flight at KLIA from Subang, so it will be my own expense and the only reason given is due to Covid-19)

I take taxi to KLIA at own cost, and waiting for my next flight to Brunei by Royal Brunei Airlines.

To my surprise! The Express Train to KLIA has ceased their service as well! The only public transport is Bus only.

I feel so sad when I first step in the main entrance of KLIA, it is very empty and dark, is so unusual like before, perhaps new norm in airports till vaccination released.

Most of the shops are closed even my favourite Mc Donalds too!
