Suzie Dawson from the Internet Party hosted a second Anti-Spy Bill event. During the trial, Kim DotCom talked with CIA John Kiriakou Whistleblower about the CIA's torture program and the methods used by the authorities to target complainants.

The Internet will continue to hold weekly events to continue working on the Anti-Spy Bill.

John Kiriakou, Suzie Dawson, and Kim DotCom discussed the need for CIA-related oversight. Kiriakou states that the agency needs strong oversight, as he says the CIA continues to push moral, legal and ethical boundaries. Kiriakou discussed after witnessing the impetus of the CIA's torture program after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, which he described as inspiring radical cultural changes within the agency.

Kiriakou talked about media appearances in 2007 where he has revealed the existence of the CIA's illegal torture program. He described the interview as completely altering his way of life after he publicly disclosed for the first time that the CIA tortured his prisoners, torture was an official government program, and that the program had been personally approved by President Bush.

Though legally cleared during the Bush Presidency, Kiriakou described his surprise that President Obama has allowed the FBI to secretly investigate him, eventually accusing him of five serious crimes, including espionage. Kiriakou expressed a deep shock that he was the only person who spoke publicly about the torture program. He stressed the importance of transparency, stressing that the American public should know what is being done on its behalf. Kiriakou described the investigation of the authorities as culminating in an attempt to trap him for lack of evidence against him.

Kiriakou also explained that he had sent an open letter to Edward Snowden behind the publication of his innovative methods of supervision, warning Snowden not to cooperate with the FBI.

Kim Dotcom told Kiriakou: "Every once in a while these organizations meet people like us, smart people who understand what's happening, who knows there are others who are against this unjust system and want to correct this injustice. Our task is to fight these cases to the end to remind people what is going on, because that's the only way to tell people what's going on. If we do not do this, no one will do it. "

Suzie Dawson observed during the incident that CIA investigators were reportedly chosen specifically based on the history of domestic and sexual violence. Kiriakou replied that it needed a special kind of monster to cause some kind of physical, psychological and emotional disturbance to a person without losing his soul.

The first Anti-Spy Bill event has been a 'great success' despite media outages in organizations in New Zealand and in the American media. Disobedient Media spoke with Suzie Dawson shortly before the first Anti Spy Bill event, which included panelists Barrett Brown, Lauri Love, Lee Camp, and others.

Dawson is a journalist and activist, and the current Internet Party leader in New Zealand. Dawson is currently forced to live in Moscow due to continuing harassment by the authorities, whom he discussed on youtube in "Diary of a Person of Interest."

John Kiriakou is also a member of VIPS, Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, and signed a memorandum sent to President Trump who questioned the narrative of Russian hacking. Other signatories include CIA veteran Ray McGovern and former NSA Technical Director William Binney.

Kim DotCom was recently revealed to have been illegally observed by the NSA after a joint operation between the NSA and New Zealand intelligence agencies has been officially concluded. Dotcom is facing charges of copyright infringement and money laundering associated with Megaupload, a file-sharing site closed in 2012. He is currently battling US efforts to extradite him from New Zealand.
