Will Channels - secure messenger powered by blockchain

Hi all! We want to announce our project.

Will channels is secure anonymous messenger powered by blockchain technology. In contrast to most messengers we want to create something more than another way to exchange text. We strive to build multipurpose application enabling user to conduct numerous things without distracting him from communication. We think that modern messengered can be all-in-one application, making possible not only to communicate, but to buy things on internet, send presents, search for news, music, books and share them with friends; meet people, book hotel rooms, order food or taxi ride.

Pavel Durov said that all existing messengers suck. We consider this to be accurate assertion; we totally support path that Telegram is currently on. But we know we can do better.
Wechat application is what we see as something to aim for. It’s a shame that so few people outside of China know about it. iI’s a messenger that gathered more than half billion adopters in 5 years, providing them with tons of functionality. In contrast with Whatsapp which makes $1 off a user, Wechat makes $7 on average. It’s capitalisation according to HSBC is `$80 billion.
In 2014.
In 2014 it’s revenue was $1.1 bilion. It grew by 40% more in 2015 which makes it comparable with Apple Appstore and Google Play Market.
Main two things that make Wechat so successful are integrated wallet and own internal application market.

These are exactly what we are going to do, implementing multy-cryptocurrency wallet and providing platform for external decentralised applications to operate on. We are 100% sure that cryptocurrencies and decentralized blockchain applications are doomed for explosive growth.
In contrast with Wechat, whose functionality is China-oriented, and – sadly – is a way for Chinese authorities to gather data on users, we will provide such features worldwide – securely, anonymously and immune for blocking.

At this point we have working prototype on our hands, featuring basic functionality – text messaging including group chats. Till most recent time we were striving to bring release date as much closer as we could. But now we think that this does not make sense. Why?
Messenger just won’t stand up to what people will expect of it. We will NEED to run ICO in order to make it possible for features to work correctly. After ICO wallets installed by users will serve as peers, resulting in decentralised message transmitting network. And so we are delaying prototype release. This does not eliminate option to run network in test mode, using our own peers, if people will be interested.
