HOW TO ALWAYS WIN!!!
Hey guys! It’s Kirstynell here with a BIG HUG for visiting!
Today we’re gonna be pranking your friends and family with wagers … with which you will always win! That’s right. Every time!
Oh my gosh people, let’s get this post to a 150,000 thumbs up! Oh hell yeah! That would be amazing! So without further ado, let us get on with the way to do it.
1)You: Hey friend, I bet you can’t draw a perfect circle freehand. Friend: “yes I can!” You: “Ok, what do you think of this? (drawing the pen in a perfect circle). Friend: “That’s great – tell me how to do it! I’d have thought outlining a perfect circle freehand is pretty much impossible”.
The maneuver is to place your fifth knuckle on the paper with the pen point touching the paper. Then with the other hand revolve the paper all around the knuckle as the rest of your hand stands still. Kinda like a compass … This means you get your perfect circle without utilizing anything else.
You: “Hey friend, I bet you can’t stand on your left leg. Friend: ” Yeah I can. That’s easy! You: “Ah but there’s a catch. You must have your left shoulder on the wall first.” Friend: “Okay. Let me give it a go. Is there like a magnet here or something? Moments later – what, this is supposed to be easy! Why can’t I do it?” You: “Okay -my bad! It’s actually impossible. Let me tell you why.”
This bet seems like it would’ve been super easy at first until you actually try it out for yourself. Then it will seem strange. You won’t be able to do this because when you stand on one leg, your center of gravity shifts towards that leg. Your body then needs to compensate by moving in that same direction. However, in this case, there’s a wall in the way. Therefore, no matter what you do, you won’t be able to keep counterbalance. You: “Hey friend I bet you can’t take this card and place it on one side of the beaker, and then balance a coin on the end of the card so that they both balance at the same time?”
Friend: “Alright.” After a few moments trying “Ugh this is impossible!
You: “No it isn’t. I’ll show you.”
The way to winning this bet is to use liquid. Normally, a coin is much too heavy to be able to use on a card, but if you fill a beaker full of water so the surface area of the card is touching it, you’ll then be able to balance the coin on top of it. The reason this works is that the water acts as a ‘shelf’ to balance the card and the coin together!
Try these and collect your wagers every time!
