I SURVIVED A WINE HARVEST

During the months of January through to march i worked as a cellar hand in south africa at a winery named Saronsberg.

let me start by saying this is no easy job,very long hours and hard work in the production of wine.From the harvesting of the grapes to the bottling of the wine is a very long process.

punchdowns - bottom image. very good exercise and we did twice day on any given tank, basically you push the grapes back under the juice, due to fermentation the grapes rise to the top making a solid cap.
