AL QADAR
Al-Qadr is the concept that Allah knows everything and has already decided everything that will happen. This is called predestination.
Al-Qadr is linked to the six beliefs of Sunni Islam. This is because it shows that Allah is omniscient, meaning ‘knowing everything’, and omnipotent, meaning ‘having unlimited power.’ In the Hadith, Ali speaks of predestination:
There is not one amongst you who has not been allotted his seat in Paradise or Hell. They said: Allah’s messenger, then why should we perform good deeds, why not depend upon our destiny? Thereupon he said, no, do perform good deeds, for everyone is facilitated in that for which he has been created.
Sahih Muslim 2647
Although al-Qadr is a key belief within Sunni Islam it is also important within Shi’a Islam. This is because Shi’a Muslims believe that nothing can happen without the will of Allah. However, for both Sunni and Shi'a Muslims, al-Qadr does not mean that the choices people make are not free choices. Instead, it means that Allah knows what choices people are going to make before they are made.
There is evidence of al-Qadr in the Qur’an: The Lord has created and balanced all things and has fixed their destinies and guided them. (Qur’an 87:2)
The belief in free will is essential in Islam. This is because, for Muslims, life is a test from Allah. Therefore, all human beings must make their own decisions, and they will be judged on those decisions by Allah. On the Day of Judgement, God will reward those who have had faith and done good deeds and punish those who have not. So, God judges people on their choices, not on the destiny already decided for them. The Qur’an confirms this:
Whoever does righteousness – it is for his [own] soul; and whoever does evil [does so] against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [his] servants.
Qur’an 41:46
Muslims use the term ‘insha’Allah’ frequently in conversation to express belief in al-Qadr. Insha’Allah means ‘if God is willing’ or ‘if God wills it to be so’. For example, a Muslim might say, “Next summer, I will get a good grade in GCSE Religious Studies and go on to study it at A Level, insha’Allah.”
This person does not mean that they can just sit back and hope to get a good grade because it is Allah’s will. They will still need to work really hard. However, if they do not get a good grade, they will know that it is not because of their lack of effort – instead, it was not the will of Allah for them to achieve a good grade. Believing that Allah is good and merciful will give the person encouragement that there will be a different, but good, alternative future path for them.
Do not forget whoever does not believe in qadar will not enter jannah
forgot something , this is not being at war with any religion but just talking of the shia muslims . Please muslims be care full with the religeuos info you do obtain from the internet , l myself am a sunni muslim we follow the prophet Muhammad(S.A.W). I will not fear to say this the shia religion is off side by ALLAH , it is offside . it is not the right religion in islam they denied the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). So i argue you to take note of that my brothers and sisters and please do not get much love for wealth in this world cause we just like strangers in this world , we are going any day , i mean , we shall die , my sister , my brother , i ask you know please do it(think of a day when death has approached you , when you neither talk, walk, eat, drink nor even shaking just a finger, just a finger) please i argue , if your a muslim , think of that day . And a reminder , in one the narrations of the prophet (S.A.W) a man approached him and asked "What can i do so that the people can love me " He (S.A.W) replied "Leave their property and they will love you", the man again asked "What can i do so that Allah loves me",He (S.A.W) replied"Leave the world and Allah will love you " .May Allah grant you and me knowledge to understand. Do not forget this world is a garden were we just grow our crops they either grow or die and never you forget "YOU RIPE WHAT YOU SAW . THIS IS JUST SAME TO REAL LIFE WE LIVE THEN DIE AND WE SHALL HARVEST IN THE HERE AFTER " .
BROTHERS AND SISTERS , FOR WHATEVER THING YOU NEED IN LIFE , BE DIRECT TO ALLAH HE WILL GIVE IT TO YOU SINCE EVEN NOTHING COMES TO YOU OR GOES AWAY FROM YOU EXCEPT BY ALLAH'S WILL . IT NOW GREAT JOY FOR ME TO SHARE THIS TO YOU BROTHERS AND SISTERS .
MAY ALLAH GRANT US AN UNDERSTANDING .
ASALAM ALAIKUM
GREAT . By the way in one the hadiths , once Angel Gibril desended and asked the prophet questions and one of them was "What is belief", He(S.A.W) replied " Belief in Allah , His Angels , His books ,His prophets,The day of judgement, and Qadar" . It is also said in one of the narrations that if any of you does not believe in the above all of them , does not have belief , and any one who does not have belief will not enter jannah . Please if i have made any mistake correct me and save me too from Allah's anger. Also argue you guys to seek knowledge in islam since it is also Allah's command even on the day of judgement , you won't be excused of that . Please take note of that and seek knowledge .
Assalam Alaikum
