"Disposing of our gifts poses a problem in our lives. As it turns out, it is not just bad or 'worse' if we do not use the gifts we have been given; we can use them for our emotions. And physically we have to pay. we are ashamed, we have lost hope, we are afraid, we are sad

Whether you work for someone else or work for yourself, purpose and meaning are important to your happiness and well-being. Research has shown that most people feel that a meaningful job is actually more important to them than a salary or a job title.

What is the purpose of work?

Meaningful work is more than just doing work to earn a living. An explanation that gives our job to do something that is superior to something or others that is beyond it.
What it means for each individual. Some people can find meaning in their work by simply changing their perspective. For a job to be meaningful, you need to understand the “why” behind your work. Try to think beyond the riches you are doing or the things you are doing or are doing. In what ways is your work important?
For many, it is a matter of personal preference, skills, and interests. what are your hobbies? Do you know exactly what you think? Where your feelings and talents meet, you will find meaning.

Meaningful work will always be in line with your values, so it’s important to understand what you carry as your top values. See how your work reflects or does not reflect the values you hold. If you work for a company, do their prices suit you? The disconnect between your values and prices at work undermines any purpose and objective.

"A rewarding career is when we feel the real connection between the work we do and the broader purpose of life beyond us." ~ Jory McKay

Benefits of purposeful work

When your work is purposeful:
• You are charged with more power because what you do is important to you and you know it benefits others. You have a sense of purpose.
• You contribute in some way to greater engagement, which increases your level of satisfaction.
• Your ability to do well at your highest levels is supported.
• You spend your time on work that conforms to your standards.
• You are busy with your work, so job satisfaction is increasing.
• You are very happy to work each day.

When what is said passes

Sometimes work can be meaningful, but other things hinder the satisfaction that a person expects. I saw this when there was a change in school administration, in my career as a junior Montessori teacher. Teachers were asked to produce more papers, which could be completed in a more orderly manner. Teacher inclusion has not been given importance in many respects. The entire workplace began to be banned, so it left little room for new activities.

When the work environment collides with your style, it reduces job satisfaction even when doing meaningful work.
Be aware of your work style and see where you can negotiate a particular change. There may be ways in which you can find a room to move in to create more freedom to work according to your style. If not, it may be time to look at a different place.
