Ahead of the World Cup: Brazil Silencing Croatia With Score 2 - 0
The results of Brazil vs Croatia, friendly match on Sunday at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool, after a score of 2-0. Neymar is down as a goal-scoring backup!
This is a warm-up game from both teams who are both participants of the 2018 World Cup. This is also the first game for Neymar after PSG star was sidelined for nearly four months due to injury to his right leg metatarsal bone.
For those of you who have a good memory, Brazil vs Croatia is the opening game of the 2014 World Cup in the country of South America. The hosts won 3-1 but it was not at all an easy match with Marcelo scoring a quick suicide goal in the first half before Selecao turned 2-1 thanks to Neymar's two goals, and added another from Chelsea's then-time Oscar.
Game already started !! During the first minute the Samba team dominated the game. Crowded crowd with cheers every time a yellow team player carries the ball. Starting 8 minutes then the opposing team tried to retaliate. The ball was taken from Willian and brought by Rebic near the box but was secured by Thiago Silva.
The 12th minute is almost the CFF team winning first. The ball at the foot of Gabriel Jesus was stolen and Kramaric quickly sent a cross into the front of the goal but the ball was pushed out. Football corner afterwards was greeted by Dejan Lovren who gore the ball but widened from the side of the goal.
Seen from the match so far that the audience at Anfield who sided with the yellow team is still much bigger. But Selecao looks less excited than Croatia. It's 21 minutes. Both teams are not easy to lose the ball, but what frustrates the players - and also the audience - is the lack of creativity in the final third. The checkered squad seemed to push the Brazilian team, encouraging them to make mistakes.
The 23rd minute Philippe Coutinho was given space too freely and fired, but the ball was still hovering over the Croatian rule. Minute 28 Luka Modric to Ante Rebic, to Ivan Perisic and he shoots. But still misses. Soon the end of the first half.
Statistics show everything. Brazil was more dominant during the first half with 65% vs 35%. There was only one shot on goal and one misses out on the checkered side, while Verde-Amarela has no target shots on target.
The Brazil squad dropped Neymar early in the second half, replacing Fernandinho. And lapse a few minutes later the former Barcelona striker scored! He dribbled close to the opposing goal, doing a little gocekan before shooting very hard into the top of the goal. GOAL! 1-0!
Brazil's dominance continued at the start of the second half with numbers reaching 66-67%. But after Neymar's goal, the Samba team seemed to reduce their pressure and the dominance had subsided to only 56%.
Croatia's best chance came early in the second half. The 59th minute of Ante Rebic jumped higher to gore the ball but was pushed out by Allison Becker.
In the final seconds of injury time, Roberto Firmino smacked a second Selecao goal. GOAL! 2-0!
After 3 minutes injury time, the referee finally blew the long whistle. Results Brazil vs Croatia closed with the final score 2-0.
