World War Two In Color - Let us not repeat these mistakes and learn from color
What many people do not realize is that are thousands of videos and images of world war two. I feel like these colored images really hit home when realizing how very real this all was. With color instead of black and white it paints a whole new picture and to me really hits the heart when you see the follow.
Ranging from Dday
Air Bombings
People who wrote the history we now read and live
Left to Right
Field Marshal Sir Alan Brooke, Winston Churchill, Field Marshal Bernard montogmery
Seeing it in color makes it all more real and why this should never happen again...
German prisoners of war
Creating utter destruction on both sides
Liberation of Paris
Back home in the USA promoting war bonds as the world was being ripped apart
The Atom Changed Everything - Something so small can have a change that is huge (This includes our every day actions)
To prevent something like this ever happening again
Let us not repeat history and instead learn from it. We the people can control our governments and bridge gaps that currently divide us. Let us not make the same mistakes

2017 had an insane number of WW II movies - many which have been critically acclaimed. It's good that people are still looking back at the failures of humanity.
Wow never seen those color pictures before. So sad to think how many people were killed on both sides. Those rangers in the landing craft were sitting ducks as they hit the beach. Most of the first wave was wiped out in minutes. Hopefully we will never see events like this happen again.
I have seen a fair share of WW2 photos/videos too, the ones that are colorized like this are always my favorite. Makes it seem more "real" to a lot of people how this was all not that long ago.
Wow. Definitely feel it more in color. Quite timely, given the false ballistic missile alert in Hawaii and that Trump has the biggest button. Thank you @bitcoinflood for sharing.
It's amazing how much colorizing images can bring us closer to the events. When we watch black and white versions, I think that we are disconnecting from these events as "old", "outdated", "something that can't happen to us", etc. But the truth is that wars did happen all over the world over the last couple of decades too.
Nice post, cheers! : )
I agree, it is so much more heartfelt what happened back then. It tears at my heart to watch war movies. My stepdad used to watch documentaries all the time, as he was a retired Seaman. Sometimes I would watch it with him, and other times it made me really sad. Sadly he passed away 3 years ago, so I miss those bonding days.
I truly hope that the more these get put out in color, the more eyes it opens.
