How to Stop the Worry Sessions
If you're a person who worries often, this blog post is for you. In life we all have experienced moments of fear and worry. I can almost guarantee that some of those anxious moments were in vain since most fearful events never come to pass. I've experienced anxiety before but what calms me is the thought that God is in control. I believe not a hair will fall off my head without our father’s permission.
Another reason not to fall into the worry trap is because your mind is being subjected to stress. I'm not saying not to address and correct all life situations that need mending. Please do. What I am saying is we must love ourselves enough not to put our minds through pointless stress. Not allow worry to paralyze us with fear. I'm not sure where my father learned this, but he always says, "Everything has a resolution, except death". Why not use your energy to move towards a resolution instead of drowning in worry?
Another good reason not to worry is because I've read we create with our minds. What we think about expands. For that reason, it makes sense to move ourselves to a good feeling place. This will help keep our thoughts pure and happy. Worrying takes the mind to a negative place. The best way to stop it is not to allow one bit of negativity, fear or worry. Sometimes events in life are overwhelming but we must remember that the storms only last so long. Eventually the sun comes out and some of us are even blessed with rainbows.
Next time you come across a stressful situation that overwhelms you with worry and fear think of what you read. What also helps is to think of a moment in your life when you went through something challenging but eventually came out smarter and stronger than you were before. Look forward to that. At times, situations are experienced because it’s in those moments we grow. We become. Like a diamond under pressure, we begin to shine. Go ahead and look at fear in the eyes with faith that you are being taken care of by our father in heaven and this beautiful universe.
Love & light,
