Tales of a Crying Heart

Few minutes from now, she was on her phone again, trying to reach him. She kept of trying and trying but to no avail. All hope was lost, she couldn't breathe, she could feel tears running down her cheeks, she thought she was strong enough. And then a call came in. He was the one. She wiped her tears away and with vast attention to no one, she picked up.
"Hello, its Steve" the caller came in.
"Where on earth have you been? I've called your mum and dad, your friends and they couldn't reach you. Are you okay?" She replied
"Yes, Jane. Yes I am"
"I was worried sick. I need you here with me, I need us to be stronger. We could try". She replied.
There was a minute of silence then he spoke firmly, "I slept with Nina".
Her heartbeat stopped for a while, her mouth sore and wide open, she was in a shock. She couldn't breathe! She needed air, she dropped the phone. Tear balls formed in her eyes, she walked towards the refrigerator to get a cold drink to cool her down. But she sat on the floor, the refrigerator giving her cool air to cool her mind, tears rolled down her cheeks, uncontrollable tears.

Years have passed, she warned him that her heart was fragile, she gave her all to him. He broke her heart constantly, on a regular basis, and always apologises. Years and years of pain and suffering. Her friends warned her of him, she was a fool for him, she accepted all his bullshit because of the love she had for him. The pain got too much, she trusted him, but he broke her trust, not only that, he shattered her heart finally.
His words came back to her like lightning and her head was like hot coals were being dropped on it. She was sick, she needed air, she couldn't breathe!

"Why does he apologize after making the same mistake?"
"Why does he sleep with other girls? Am I not enough for him?"
"Why do I feel so guilty for falling in love at first?"
These questions ran through her mind over and over but no one to answer. They were Her rhetorical questions. She wished she could answer them, but she was broken. She needed to end it all, she needed to be free, she needed air. "Maybe she would feel much better if it was all over" she thought. She wanted to go away forever!
