My decision!

in #writing4 years ago

Sometimes, the people around us don't seem to understand us based on the appearance or expression on our faces, yet we hope deeply that one day they will. And sometimes we hear word that has been proven to be true and not just sentiment .Yet they don't sit well with us.
What do we do then? ignoring the voices that guide us while we stand confused? Or accept the fact while the future is getting scary?

My Father thought, I completely disrespected the opportunity he had put in for my education especially my future, by organizing a family meeting with one of the academia representative of a renowned university for my intake to study Engineering.

Unfortunately, my father who called a meeting was out of town in pursuit of his career which I was so elated concerning his schedule. So he entrusted the satisfactory conclusion of the matter to me, his wife and the man. Actually it was my Father's enormous contributions towards the university that compelled the man to have a dinner with our family.

My transcript shows I'm very young and smart and nevertheless I will be a nice inclusion to the university alma mater.
But I have a different view on the matter from my Fathers' Thou I am a very promising candidate for the renowned engineering program and mentally ambidextrous but wouldn't it be better,if I could speak for or choose for my dear self a befitting career.IMG_20200201_124230_898.jpg

My own perspective about life is totally different from my Father's. He actually taught he is preparing me for d future. Yes, he does, but in a wrong way. His manner of ideas and opinion is quite corrosive towards my future.
In a nutshell, I wanted to be a teacher, an instructor, nation builder, reshaping destiny, bringing out potentials of young minds and adding value to life's.( But guys wait) is there anything wrong with the noble profession? My father says it certainly not meant for me. He called it a cheap profession, because the outside world is not kind. For the fact it isn't easy out there doesn't mean I will fail to make decisions that I can live with . I know it all comes to the kind of company I keep, when I'm standing alone which I tried to choose friends on my own merit. Because today's choices determine tomorrow's

It's true - parents often have visions for their children, fit for their time. As a youth, our age and station are much different than before. Let the child have an individual will, but guide them best to follow it. I'm glad you're on your own path - it took me some time to find mine.

Dear @adeyemidrey

Friend it is difficult to tell you that you should be free to choose what you like, and that is the best thing for you, because in the future you will only love your own achievements because of your own decision,
There are decisions in life that only we have to make for our own good.
I believe that being a teacher is one of the most noble and enriching tasks in this world.
I have a friend @lanzjoseg who lives in a country called Venezuela and is a teacher and he always says he is a happy man to educate others despite being a very poorly paid profession but in that country.

So you should do what is born of you.

Have a gread day, Piotr
