Severity (English/Spanish)

Many of my readers know that I like to delve into the meanings of words, on this basis I can develop my essays in the most efficient way and with the personal point of view where I work towards the widest possible perspective.

I think this definition has a very special connotation because it is linked to character and is part of our DNA.

Right now, I have a lot of different memories about the initial severity of my grandfather, who had that character on certain occasions, even though some family members don't have the same opinion.

But many will wonder what severity is, the term refers to the condition or characteristic of severe: that or that which is strict in compliance with the rules or which is hard, inflexible or crude.

I believe that in these times there has been a lack of severity in many aspects at a general level, especially in Venezuela where disorder and lack of compliance with the law, where injustice has taken many paths, have prevailed all those behaviors without arguments that do not justify their actions, but I do not wish to delve deeply into this chapter of history, because we all know the implicit double face that exists, where there is plenty of evidence.

When I make a decision I always tend to be firm, although I recognize that before if I broke with that choice many times, but time teaches that waiting and complying with the agenda benefits us much more, I can also say that when we stop being subtle we are cruder but we also get closer to sincerity.

The valuable weapon of our mind that is our intellect invites us to think, study, analyze and come to amazing conclusions about the meaning of the terms.

I think it is not wrong for us to be severe, as long as we use the right criteria and when it benefits us in a sustainable way.

Severidad

Muchos de mis lectores saben que me gusta profundizar en los significados de las palabras, en ello me baso para poder desarrollar mis ensayos de la forma más eficiente y con el punto de vista personal donde trabajo hacia la perspectiva más amplia posible.

Creo que esta definición tiene una connotación muy especial porque está ligada al carácter y es parte de nuestro ADN.

En estos momentos me vienen muchos diferentes recuerdos en torno a la severidad inicialmente de mi abuelo, quien poseía ese carácter en ciertas ocasiones, aunque algunos familiares no tengan la misma opinión.

Pero muchos se preguntaran que es la severidad, el término hace referencia a la condición o la característica de severo: aquel o aquello que es estricto en el cumplimiento de las normas o que resulta duro, inflexible o crudo.

Creo que en estos tiempos ha hecho falta la severidad en muchos aspectos a nivel general, sobre todo en Venezuela donde el desorden y escaso cumplimiento de la ley, donde la injusticia ha tomado muchos caminos, han dejado prevalecer todas esas conductas sin argumentos, que no justifican sus actos, pero no deseo mucha ahondar en este capítulo de la historia, porque todos sabemos la doble cara implícita que existe, donde sobran las evidencias.

Cuando tomo una decisión siempre suele ser firme, aunque reconozco que antes si rompía muchas veces con esa elección, pero el tiempo enseña que esperar y cumplir con la agenda nos beneficia mucho más, también puedo decir que cuando dejamos de ser sutiles somos más crudos pero también nos acercamos más a la sinceridad.

La valiosa arma de nuestra mente que es nuestro intelecto nos invita a pensar, estudiar, analizar y llegar a conclusiones asombrosas sobre el significado de los términos.

Creo que no está mal que seamos severos, siempre y cuando usemos el criterio correcto y cuando nos beneficie de forma sostenible.
