SPOILER ALERT! A Court of Frost and Starlight By Sarah J. Maas
STEEMIT PEOPLE! You have GOT to read this book, is the 3.1 of the ACOTAR (A Court Of Thorns and Roses) series, so you kinda have to read the first three first, BUT you gotta do it, you just HAVE to, is awesome. That's my opinion at least, you kinda have to read it and see for yourself (see what I did there?:) ).
Okay, so nothing really HAPPENS in here, I mean like no fights or wars whatsoever, is pretty much them preparing for The Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, that also happens to be Feyre's birthday, but just because there's not much action (that kind anyway) doesn't mean is not interesting.
We get to see how they're doing after the war and how they're dealing with all that happened. Even though there's not really a big fight we do see the trouble that's gonna develop in the next book, with the Wall now gone the other High Fae are trying to see with how much they can get away with expanding they're territories while the Court of Dreams are trying to get them in line. We still don't know where the human queens stand after what happened with Hybern but Jurian is dealing with all the human stuff at the moment and surprisingly doing a great job with it. Trouble is also brewing in the Illyrian camps and Cassian, Azriel and Rhys are doing all they can to prevent it from growing into another potencial war, the families of all the Illyrian soldiers that didn't come back are pissed and doing they're best to get the others to be as well. Nesta is dealing with everything that happened on her own way. Tamlin the tool is suffering a severe depression apparently, I almost felt bad for him, ALMOST.
But aside from those little problems (with a little too much potencial to become worse) we're pretty focused on the aftermath of the war and The Winter Solstice. Feyre is feeling guilty of being able to celebrate the Solstice while there's many that won't or families missing someone, but after a little chat with Elain she feels a little better. The Winter Solstice is pretty much like Christmas, they drink, have dinner, exchage presents, drink. I'm also loving the Bromance between Feyre and Cassian, they're hilarious together, I swear. Mor has an important decision to make, we'll see more of it in the next book. Lucien has become good friends with Jurian and Vassa, they're still trying to find a way to break her curse and there's no progress whatsoever with Elain.
Nesta is... well Nesta, she's gonna be an important character on the next one that's for sure.
Feyre also makes a new friend, she helps her with her guilt a little bit too, encourage her to express herself through her painting, she's an artist too, and another friend also makes her realise that there's still hope. Her relationship with Rhys is better than ever, they still tease each other relentless and banter to no end, they're just adorable, there's a lot of fluff and I absolutely LOVE it.
They come to an important decision at the end but I'm not telling you that, you gotta read it ;)
Is overall a really great book and I loved it and I wanted to tell you guys about it, so I did. I can't wait until her next book, is the 6th in the Throne of Glass series and I'm anxious, ever since the end of the previous one (if read it then you know why and you understand my pain, if you do, hit me up, we could suffer together).
'Till next time, Steemit people! hope you have a great day.
(p.s: seriously you have to read it)
