Getting into Tolkien's Universe-Middle Earth : Part #1 Creation of Arda(Earth)

Hey there, now I'm going to begin a new journey with you. An unexpected journey. From this very moment we are going to dive into Tolkien's universe and learn lots of deep informations. We also can discuss about books and movies and something elses in comments. So lets get started, we have a long way, a long journey.

By the way as you know Tolkien is a linguistic and he created many languages so while translating some of Elvish or other languages to English wrong things may happen. Sorry from now..

Ones there was just Eru (a.k.a. Illuvatar). In Timeless Halls with the secret fire Eru created Holy Ones as known as Ainur. Eru talked with them using music themes and he wanted them to make music for himself. Ainur sing songs and Eru was very happy. But Eru did not created Ainur to sing songs to him. After a while Eru announced a theme and he wanted Ainur to make music with this theme by using their unique powers. This song called Ainulindalë (Music of the Ainur). They tried their best to improve this music with their powers.

Eru as known as Illuvatar

But one of the Ainur, the most powerfull Ainu named Melkor did not care others music and he tried supress other Ainur musics. He wanted his music is to be the best. In the theme that Eru announced, some weird things happened. Chaos of Melkors music started to confuse Ainur mind and their music. Some of Ainur tried to keep up with Melkor's music. After some time harmony of the music started to break and they needed to stop.

When Eru saw this he stood on his foot and raise his left hand after that Eru announced a new theme. This was a more powerfull theme than other one but this theme unable to compete with Melkor's inharmonious music and Melkor's music supressed that theme too. After that Eru stood on this foot again and raise his right hand this time. This new theme was way more delicate but also way more powerfull. Melkor tried to compete with this new theme but did not manage to supress this time. Theme took Melkor's music in itself and destroyed it. Eru stood on his foot for last time, raise his both hands and the music stopped.

Ainulindalë became an image in the void. Eru called each of them beside him and showed this image. He wanted to show them what their music became. Ainur looked. Ainur may see now, past and the future. Each Ainur saw what their melodies became. I'm going to talk about Ainur and their powers in my next blog.

However Ainur done most of the works there are there were many things Ainur cant understand. This things made by Eru and Ainur have no power on them. This things were childs of Eru; Elves and Men. But what Ainur saw was just an image not real. But after a while Eru lifted the secret fire and placed it into center of image. Image started to shape up and with some time it started to get real. Arda was created.

After Arda created, Eru said that if they want to continue their creations they may go to Arda. Most of Ainur (number is unknown) decided to stay with Eru in Timeless Halls. But 15 Ainur decided to land Arda. They called as Valar after they landed Arda. Their appearances looks like childs of Eru but with the difference of their acts some of them look like woman and some of them look like man. But these was just for visuals, they dont need any of this appearances, they also can shift their shapes.

Well guys thats the start of everything. My second writing going to be about Valar.

Also a postscript; in Tokien's letter "r" is using as plural suffix. Like Vala is singular and Valar is plural.
