Dark Places Bring Light Things 2
Angel woke up in a strange place. She could hear voice in the other room.
“She has sustained some pretty serious injuries. I would not be surprised if she had trouble healing when she wakes,” one voice said.
“No he said she will be in perfect health when she wakes,” said the other.
Suddenly Angel remembered the events from, was it the night before; she did not know how long she had been at this place. A familiar face entered the room but there was something odd about it. Something was missing. As her memory of the face became clear, she realized that he was the one who had saved her from the beast; except where was his wings and the bright light that had emanated from him and his sword. Her face flushed as she realized that she may have been hallucinating.
“How are you feeling?” the pleasant face asked with a smile. “I suspect you do not feel as bad as you look,” he chuckled.
Another face peered in the door. There was a bit of a sparkle and then it was gone as the owner of the face stepped into the room.
“Where am I and my family...?” Angel trailed off.
“I am afraid I did not arrive in time to save your family.”
There was a flutter behind the man that stood in front of Angel she saw a tiny golden light and then it was gone.
“So it was you last night. What are you?” Angel whispered a little frightened.
