Fireflies are disappearing !!!

When was the last time you saw fireflies?
If you say 2 weeks ago or a month ago you must be lying. Fireflies are disappearing and you know why they're disappearing the reason is because when you was a kid you used to catch them and thinking it was cool to put them in the mason jars and let them starved for oxygen to death.... Nahhh I was kidding, It's not your fault.

Researcher have reported that the reason behind the large scale disappearing of fireflies in world wide is because of indirect effects of human's behavior : Artificial lighting ( light-pollution ), Global climate change, Use of pesticides, Lower food supply, Urbanization flourishing and Habitat destruction is all to blame.

Surely, In order to protect these Bioluminescent Insects tell your family or neighbours to keep their light off when unused and also stop over-mowing your lawn, It won't hurt much just by keeping the grass little bit longer so these insects can enjoy themselves and also stop using the pesticides, It's bad for fireflies health and your health. By doing so the population of firefly will become larger and so we'll be able to enjoy the scenery in summer time.

I knew that bees are affected by Human aided environmental changes, but I didn't know about the fireflies. Thank you for your article.

I upvoted and followed you.

Last time I saw fireflies was probably 2-3 years ago.

We have many of them here. But then again I live in a somewhat rural area.

I think they go to the grave...... ups...... I think, I typing movie title.....lol

Cool post! I give you UP

I live next to the only spot in Colorado where i’ve seen fireflies and unfortunately 250 houses have just been built on one side of the ravine where they have managed to survive, an oasis for lightning bugs. It will be sad to see them diminished by street lamps, I do not expect them to do well this summer.
