"Trust is Risky" but usually worth it in the long run

When you have years worth of baggage, from failed and
Painful relationships, it becomes almost impossible to
Open up to a new friend, who probably really only
Wants to be friends. Giving trust to new folks in
New relationships has become very difficult
For me. When this is the situation, you’ll
Never know what fun, camaraderie
Or closeness you might miss out
On. Letting down walls you’ve
Built to protect yourself from
Even more pain, is risky and
Oh so very difficult. Trust
Isn’t easily given. It
Should be given
Nonetheless.
Take the risk.
