Socialism or Capitalism? [STORY]

A young law student was in the last year of his university career. As is common among young university students, the boy thought he was a socialist and for that reason he was in favor of the equal distribution of a country's wealth. The boy felt ashamed of his father, a successful businessman who was a capitalist and was against all socialist programs proposed by the bosom of the left.

One day the boy, letting himself be carried away by his ideals, decided to confront his father. He criticized the capitalist model, He talked of Marx's dialectic and tried as much as possible to make him see how wrong he was to defend a system as unjust as capitalism. His father a little stunned after the talk he had just given his son asked:

-How are your studies?

-I'm fine - the son says very proud - I have cost, I almost do not go out, I do not have a partner and I sleep a few hours a day, but thanks to that I go out quite well in the studies and I am going to graduate in time .

Then his father immediately asked him:

-And your friend Miguel, how is he doing in college?

-It is going wrong, dad - he answered very sure - Miguel barely has 4 average, but he goes partying every week, he's leaving on trip, studies little and is missing classes enough. I really do not think he'll graduate this year.

His father looked him in the eyes and said:

-You should talk to your teachers and ask them to give Miguel a 2.5 from your average. It would be a good and equitable distribution of grades, in this way both would have 6.5 and graduate together.

The indignant boy replies to his father:

-Did you go crazy? I spend it studying every day to have an average of 9! - he says with a slightly raised voice - do you think it's right that my effort is going to give to a person who does not strive to study? Although he is my best friend, I do not intend to give him my job!

His father hugged him and with a slight smile on his face said:

-Welcome to capitalism!

Adrian Rogers (1931) says that:

• 1.- The government of a country can not give anything to someone if it has not been taken from someone else before.

• 2.- When half of a population in a nation believes that they no longer have to work because the other half has an obligation to take care of them, and when that other half comes to the conclusion that it is not worth working because someone will steal them away what they have gained with effort, that is the end of a nation. You can not multiply wealth by dividing it.

It is easy for us all to share what is of others, and the same goes for politicians: When someone promises so many things for nothing, he is a liar.
