The Little Boy Who Could

in #writing4 years ago

There once was a little boy who was not very good at handy things. He bustled and he hustled, but could never quite make his way.
He tried and he tried to make his papa proud, but when he looked at the works of his hands he mumbled and said, “Could I? Should I?”

One day the father stepped in to help his son. He walked him through the steps of every detail his little mind could conceive. He listened intently as his son inquired and marveled at the creation of it all. He wondered indeed how magnificent this son of his is, who he made in his hour of need.

When the boy was finished and his energy was spent, the father sat to listen.

“How much more is there, daddy?”

“Oh, quite a few more things, my son.”

“How much will you help me with?”

”I’ll help you till you feel confident you have it son. After that, I’ll cheer you on. I will never leave you, nor forsake you.”

The son smiled at his daddy’s words and felt invigorated to work some more. He jumped off his daddy’s lap and soared to new heights of endeavors. It was a wonder for all to see, and the daddy could not be more proud.

We all need that daddy at some point in our life. May you rest In Peace, knowing your daddy is coming for you.
