Your Dream

We all want to live an enjoyable life, and in this vision we hold aspirations and prospects. Rarely does the doubt arise in our mind we will fail to achieve this, "certainly one day this future will come", we say. But realistically can this really be done? What exactly are you dreaming? Do you dream of becoming famous and being recognized by the everyday stranger? Do you dream of having innumerable materialistic possessions? How are you going to do this?

It's easy in hindsight to know we were going to be successful when we're there. Yet here we are in the present, not quite there. In an effort to add value to your lives, I'd like to share ideas which may help change your life for the better, and if not, at least educate you in some regard.

Passive Income

What is passive income? It's a source of income, which as the name implies, trickles into your wallet steadily without you doing a significant amount of work. How exactly does this work? Many of these forms of passive income will require an amount of work in the beginning to establish yourself. Where upon establishing yourself, you continue to maintain this source of income through maintenance work. You may not make much in the beginning but through continual work and effort you will end up with a source of income. People have been able to quit their jobs and leave their 9-5's doing this. At the end of the day, learning about passive income will educate you about being an entrepreneur and what it takes to be successful. As no matter what profession you go into, if you want to be the very best, you will have to become a full fledged entrepreneur. Either that, or you will be working for someone else.

Forms of Passive Income

I will share with you some forms I have found over the course of months studying this in an effort to make you interest to begin your own investigations into some of these ideas of income. This can be your real side project, or a hobby, you decide.

Sell A Course

"But I don't know anything," That's not true, you've lived how many years on this planet and you haven't learned anything at all? If you are a student, you can tutor. Is there a particular class you took which gives you the ability to teach others on that topic? Organic Chemistry? Cell Biology? If you play video games and you're pretty good, there is someone out there who is willing to pay money to learn how to be better. Give League of Legend, Call of Duty or Overwatch lessons, or make video courses! If you know about Stocks you can teach people how to trade, if you know about Photoshop and Photography you can provide lessons on the software and lighting effects. The most common excuse is that there are people who know more than me. And that's true, but not all of them have the time to make these lessons and courses. If you have special knowledge, know a language, make a lessons and courses and price it! People will pay for these things, and with this, a source of income.

E-Book Publishing

It is ridiculously (near) easy to publish on Amazon. Even if you don't believe yourself to be an exceptional writer you can write a novel, perhaps a how-to book or a self-help book and price it at 1.99 on Kindle. If you are a great writer then more power to you. If Amazon see's you are selling sufficiently then you can make it into a paperback using their services. They'll take a cut of course, but it could increase your sales and revenue. People now a days love holding physical books.

Stock Dividends

If you're on Steemit, I take it you know about Cryptocurrencies. But back in the old system of stock trading, there are these things called dividends. They are a payout for just holding the stock. Yes, that's right, you get paid for simply owning a stock. It's not a lot per share, but it multiplies when you put significant amounts of money into it. Eventually you can great a serious source of income using this. People in old age invest in dividend stocks to retire and have a steady source of money into old age.

Amazon FBA

This is a whole world of it's own but if you get into it, it can be one of the best sources of passive income. Essentially you buy wholesale products from a manufacturer and you begin to sell them on Amazon using their services. They ship the packages for you and you reap the rewards. It doesn't require too much knowledge to begin the process. There are even forms of Amazon FBA called Retail Arbitrage, where you flip items on clearance in Retail Store and list them on Amazon at full price.

Conclusion

These are a few of the ways to make a source of income, and it can be done on the side next to your job. You cannot expect to save enough money working, max out your 401K and then retire, and live a happy fulfilled life. This is not how every person wants to live. We all want to live happily by being our authentic and fully expressed selves. This can only be done once we've mastered finances, as everything in the world comes at a price. But when you're able to give people something truly of value and people think it's worth paying for it, you've done a great exchange.
