Keeping up the pace on steemit.... Don't rack your head up - steemit is no rocket science!steemCreated with Sketch.

I have got my feet back again after the terrible experience with some steemit whales – they flagged my last post badly, something I worked so hard on and I lost all I earned!

Well, I appreciate the steemit community and I managed to put myself together. So, in today’s post, I would like to share some ideas that occurred to me recently – it is about how to be consistent on the Steemit community.

As we all know, it is not so easy to grow fast here, because many people find it hard to keep the pace. Wait a sec, who says ‘you need to grow fast on steemit?’ Nobody! To the best of my knowledge, that wasn’t part of the plan of setting up this wonderful community. If you would allow me to speak (actually type) randomly, I would say, steemit was created to bring people with passion for writing and reading on a platform and interestingly, for them to get rewarded doing what they have passion for.

However, many people for different reasons do not realize this objective, so they hurry up to sign up and hope to ‘make it’ big in no time here Hihu 😊. Sadly, their expectations are cut short after a while and they cannot cope anymore – next step – QUIT! ☹

How about if we looked at the concept from a more logical perspective :

  • I found out about steemit and signed up for a free account

  • Browsed through posts from other people to have a clue what is been talked about

  • Hmm….. What’s this community really all about? Let me read through the ‘about’ of steemit and online reviews

  • Oh! Too much work for a social media… but I think I get the concept!

  • I like to write…. And I enjoy reading interesting posts….

  • Oh! But what should I write about? How often can I write?

  • Will I get enough followers? Would they like my posts?

Now, you can go on and on asking yourself thousands of questions and never achieve anything or you can start slowly but steadily – besides, steemit has no deadline for whatsoever – so why not do it at the pace you can - even if it is slow!

Here are my tips for you:

  • Sign up on steemit as every normal person

  • Get yourself acquainted with the style and format of writing

  • Most importantly, decide what to always write about and keep to it.

Now, it may be hard to adopt a particular theme to always write about but you could make it easy for yourself. How about writing on topics you are already familiar with? If you are familiar with a particular topic/subject, perhaps you have passion for it, and if you have passion for it, you can write about it almost anytime and gladly discuss it in the comment section.

One more important tip is to keep your writing style really attractive. You can do this by writing as less and as meaningful as possible with nice pictures to keep your readers happy!

On the above notes, I have decided on what to write about in the next weeks – my discipline! This would be a nice way for me to keep abreast with my field and rightly inform interested readers and lovely followers.

If you would like to learn about this, then watch out for my next posts! peace!
