"I did not die, yet I lost my breath of life" - Dante

How many of us at some point in our lives, have felt this excruciating pain, sorrow, despair - pain that killed us, yet we did not die. Couldn't utter a word. Couldn't tell a soul. Couldn't understand. Breath squeezed out and scream we couldn't. Hope seemed impossible. Waking and sleeping, all seemed the same. Heart was sucked out. Life ebbed away.

So many of us succumb to this pain. Crumble and get buried in the debris of the falling tower. Not understanding why it happened..... and stay stuck in the feeling of "Why", "Why Me", "why". And then when nothing makes sense, heart screams - "I am done with it !!" But is that really true. Are you really done with it ? Just walking away, shutting it down is not getting done with the cycle of pain. We are never done with the cycles of pain till we do not understand its juxtaposition in our lives.

When pain strikes, it throws us off balance. It changes our perceptions. Our way of life changes every time we go through a painful situation. In our hearts we are never the same after experiencing deep hurt. And this is the bigger picture we are meant to understand. The bigger picture is the new reality that it unfolds, the veil that lifts and brings us closer to our true self.

Universe talks to us in the language of synchronicity, experiences . Sorrow is one of the instruments of the universe that pushes us to move forward to the next level. We ascend and evolve through transformation, and pain is transformation.

Pain is the teacher... the catalyst that helps us to understand our strengths and vulnerabilities and gifts. Most artists are broken souls who created their masterpieces after the dagger pierced them deep.

However, the journey of transformation that sorrow unfolds is dark. A dark space of going through anger, revenge, rejection, betrayal, ego, narcissism, envy, feeling victimised and so much abyss!! The whole battle is, do you stay there or pull yourself out of that tunnel. The longer you stay in the dark, the more it becomes a comfort zone where reality doesn't exist. Instead our mind conjures up all the illusions and justifications that take us away from reality.

Transformation is an individual and subjective journey for all. How we come out of darkness is our call. But when we do, we come out stronger and more stable with higher understanding and greater compassion.

And this is the purpose of the sorrow or pain we go through. To learn a difficult lesson, to end redundant cycles and to rise like a phoenix, empowered and reborn as a higher consciousness.

It is my belief that we come across information that is relevant to us. So, if you read this, then perhaps this had some message for you here. Never succumb to the darkness of pain. Let the blood flow, heal and understand the beauty of higher understanding it gave you that made you more sensitive to the pain of others. It made you alive. It made you think. It made you transform into the Phoenix you are - unstoppable . Because "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger", they say ....

"The dagger twisted deep.
I couldn't understand and I screamed.
I couldn't pull out of the abyss.
Groped I did in the darkness.
A contorted reality made me fall deeper.
But a single tear burned in my eye.
I am worth more than this it said, try !
And that made the difference...
"Have faith", they said, "here is the light".
I followed the light & Here am I "
