Just keep in mind everyone had to start somewhere. I was a quivering mass of pure fear when I first started out. It's a very interesting and unique occupation. And you don't just find your peers down the street or around the corner. I attended lots of writer meetings and conferences when I first started out. (Pre-Internet days, obviously.)
