#7 DayWriting Day2

Another day another dollar...I woke up not knowing what to do...the window remained open....the heat of the day still milling around. We are indeed in sunny climes finally! or are we? Hmm I mused..what is it about the halcyon days of summer. I know all too soon that may change and we are back to what we know best...grey skies and drudgery for that is England sombre. I wish we would have sun all year it certainly makes a difference.

My mind wandered as I sat what is it with the passing of time a conversation I couldn't help but overhear saddened me...life is indeed hard and with youth we feel we are invincible....but like all things we look back and reminisce some of it with sadness and some with joy. There are some things that we cannot avoid, we must accept our fate that at some point we will leave this earth, hand in our chips and say thank you for a life lived.

There is no escaping, but what if we had one last card, how would we use it? what would we ask for? a sobering thought, as I listened, a tear rolled, quickly raising my hand I wiped it, no time for tears, folding my paperbag, I finished my lunch...oh well those few minutes of solitude what bliss as I got up heading back to finish my shift...
