GROWTH IS REALISATION

in #writing6 years ago

I am actually supposed to share my review for this week's book but I couldn't finish the book so till next week. So while we wait for that I decided to share this piece I wrote some time ago.

So I was doing a little thinking, (well there was power outage and it was a tad hot) and I came to the realisation of what growth is. So basically, our primary aim in life as humans is or should be growth(personal development) and I come to a conclusion that "growth is realisation". In all ramifications it is. You might be wondering why I said so, guess what, I don't know my self but after some critical thinking (which by the way was blissful) I came to the final conclusion that growth is realization.(I am having trouble deciding which it is realiSation or realiZation, I guess S is British spelling, I would take that thank you very much). You have to be poised to make factual and dawning realizations for any sort of growth to occur in your life. Indignation shouldn't play a part in realising.

Growth is realisation:

  • Realising that you have been doing it wrong and it's time to make a change.

  • Realising that what you know isn't all that correct and you can't be correct, you can only be a little less wrong.

  • Realising that what ever crap you have learnt you can unlearn and relearn.

  • Realising that life isn't so rosy and shit happens.

  • Realising that life would throw at you a loads of shit, what matters is how you respond (don't tell anyone, but I learnt this from the commentator while playing dream league soccer, lol)

  • Realising that change is constant

  • Realising that life can deal you terrible cards, it's the choice you make that matters (excerpt: subtle art of not giving a fvck).

  • Realising the need to follow your heart amidst people. (excerpt: the alchemist)

  • Realising that SOMETIMES YOU WIN, SOMETIMES YOU LEARN. (excerpt: you know who). C'mon, it's John C Maxwell.

  • Realising that YOU KNOW NOTHING, for you to learn something. (excerpt: Jon snow) .

  • Realising that acknowledgement matters a lot.

  • Realising the importance of understanding before evaluating.

  • Realising the powers in prayer.

  • Realising the importance of been kind

  • Realising how necessary it is to be frank. (see, I can't over emphasize this)

  • Realising that rejection is important. It's part of growth.

  • Realising the need to say NO. (excerpt: mark mason)

  • Realising the need to THINK BIG. (excerpt: you know who)
    Am not spilling this time.

  • Realising that the right thing or way isn't always the easiest.

  • Realising that you shouldn't be a snowflake.

  • Realizing the need to LET LOVE LEAD. (excerpt: anonymous)

*Realising that life is a journey and enjoying the process really matters

  • Realising the benefits of timing.

  • Realising that we all can't be in the same level at once. (life na turn). Don't struggle to grasp that, lol.

  • Realising the need to cherish what you have because it won't last forever.

  • Realising that friends is God's way of apologizing about family. (excerpt: some random smart guy I can't remember)

  • Realising the strength in numbers. (excerpt: "not selling steem")

  • Realising that you can't do it all alone, if not you'd be all alone in this world.

  • Realising the beauty in age, old, past. Etc.

  • Realising that you can't control everything, some things are just left alone

  • Realising the need to choose your destiny. (excerpt: mortal combat).

  • Realising that time dose not really heal or wounds, you do.

  • Realising the end does not necessarily mean finish. (forget the dictionary for a minute and understand what I just wrote, haha)

  • Realising the need to avoid over gratification.

  • Realising the need to make sacrifices.

  • Realising that what ever has happened or has been done to you doesn't mean you can't be happy. (excerpt: the Grinch) it's a movie, dork.

  • Realising that there is always a part 2. (excerpt: movies)

  • Realising that negative thoughts are important. (excerpt: creed, uncle rock)

  • Realising that believing in someone till the last could be very pivotal. (excerpt: so am guessing we all learnt this valuable lesson from the movie ACRIMONY), ( well, I learnt it from Jon bellion's conversation with my wife)

  • Realizing (am still using Z instead of S again right, I know just read) the need to be consistent.

  • Realising that no matter how much you have grown, you would still need people. (excerpt: Don Williams song)

  • Realising that no matter how much you know, you still need to keep searching. (exerpt: (an unlikely source) burns boy.

  • Realising that certainty isn't healthy. (excerpt: mark mason) .

  • Realising that for you to lead, you must first learnt to follow. (excerpt: the Lord commander of the nights watch (I can't quite figure out which one said that)

  • Realising that the young shall grow. (excerpt: a trasportation vehicle)

  • Realising the need to feed your mind with healthy thoughts.

  • Realising that some people can't handle the truth but you gotta tell it anyways. (excerpt: rick and morty)

  • Realising that little lies lead to big lies and big lies get punished. (excerpt: the Simpson).

  • Realising that it's okay for you to not be exceptional.

  • Realising the need to detoxify.

  • Realising no matter how terrible people think you are or what you doing, you should still do what you love anyways. (excerpt: panda) you don't know him he is the Faust.

  • Realising that there is no such age as a maturity age, and boring people are the ones who says you aren't, hahaha. (a jape).

  • Realising that love is inexplicable. (excerpt: my mail)

  • Realising that YOU SHOULD NEVER GIVE UP. (well, except when you realise that what you are chasing is crappy, still REALISE).

  • Realising that what I have written isn't a rhapsody, it's just how I sense the issue.

  • Realising that DEATH is real or as Jim reeves puts it "i'll fly away"

Fact, I could literally keep writing this forever, just make sure to make realisations in every step of the way of your life because realising is accepting your fault and seeking redemption. (I had to so that, lol).

FYI, I don't like writing long text, it's really difficult but pouring ones feeling and heart out, the joy of that is immeasurable.
For the record, excerpt here means where I heard or learnt the stuff from, don't bother about it, just read.

This is awesome.
I feel like making one of those door posters with all of them listed... for those days when I need the friendly reminder.

I generally do this now... I didn't always (though did seemingly try). Life is SO much more enjoyable now that I'm consistently 'realizing' (yup, it's a Z 😎).

That very first one: Realize you've been doing it wrong... Like whoa. This is maybe the overall one (for me)... because, without that little tiny realization, you may never get to any of the others.

Literally (used correctly 😏), every single realization on your list is great stand alone advice.

Navigating life is rough, realizing this it is for everyone helps a little.

Thanks so much for this!!

thank you very much for your awesome comment ma'am. I agree it's a Z now 😁. It'd make a great player, hehehe. Am happy you liked it and hope you keep realizing ♥.
