A Confession: I Committed Cultural Appropriation on Steemit

I must admit that when I posted the rant that is linked below, I was committing cultural appropriation. I'm not an Asian woman but a white dude. I am the former editor of the now forgotten and abandoned literary journal, White Liquor. This isn't really an apology unless writing under a pseudonym is a lie, or morally wrong. If it is, then I apologize. But was Mary Anne Evans committing a sin when she wrote as George Eliot? Maybe us white dudes face the same kind of problems as Mary did back in the day and writing as an Asian woman can be profitable.

And if cultural appropritation is morally wrong then you'll have to throw out rock-n-roll--all of it. All the way back to the Hillbilly Cat. That Stones song you got stuck in your head and have been humming for weeks, it's cultural appropriation.
