Time to put on the pads and get ready for some American football!

Tonight is the NFL kickoff, and here’s a middle-grade read to get you in the mood.

It’s also a story that proves authors (at least I do) put a little bit of themselves into their characters. Justin, our protagonist, plays tight end (my position when I played football) and is in band (I was too!).

Though, he’s more skilled at both than I ever was, but then that’s fiction for ya.
