Scotch or Tequila?

in #writing7 years ago

Of all the booze one can consume, two of them are CLEARLY vying for being the most snooty of the bunch. Tequila is an alcohol made from the agave plant and must come from Mexico. There are various types and it’s sold all over the world, but to truly be tequila, there is a strict standard to adhere to. As for scotch, it is whisky, ”which has been produced at a distillery in Scotland from water and malted barley… blah, blah, blah (that definition literally goes into multiple layers of sub-paragraphs and indices.)

At any given liquor store, the most expensive booze you can by, can easily be tequila, even though it’s reputation as a quick, cheap way to get wasted usually prevails.

So what’s better, the nicest tequila or the most expensive scotch? And just for the sake of argument, they both sip nicely, are good with or without ice, and NEITHER one needs anything added to them.

What’s your poison?

hahaaha I don't know about that. Most expensive tequila at my local store is a special bottle of Patron for $350 750ml bottle.

For scotch whiskey $28,000
$27,350,
$25,000
$17,000...and so on.

Whiskey has some legendary roots.

Nice!
thanks for the info..

My poison is kombucha.

Not only does it need to come from Mexico, but more specifically it must come from the state of Jalisco in order to be called Tequila.

Since I've tasted neither, I'll just shut up and walk away.

I choose scotch oftentimes because I don't like the impact tequila has on me. A higher quality scotch is smooth and goes down well while warming the stomach.

Love this shot!! 📸📸

I say tequila, because for some reason my taste buds interpret even the best, most expensive scotch as a bitter ear wax taste.

Nice!
I prefer scotch most of the time anyway~
