Digitalbits Loyalty & Reward Points Programs
In my last article on LinkedIn I introduce you all with Digitalbits project and there are a lot of interesting things about Digitalbits we need to know, like Loyalty & Reward Points Programs. Loyalty programs are very beneficial for companies and definitely adopted by many companies & loyalty programs really successful. Loyalty programs protect the relationship between consumer and products that offered by brands.
There are two types of Loyalty & Reward points programs.
1: First is a single business program in which the points are issued by the same business like american airlines and starbucks rewards.
2: Second one is a multi business programs in which points issued by third party like LoyaltyOne and its Air Miles program.
Running Case:
HotelBrand is a fictitious brandish chain of hotels with a global presence. Same like other hotel chains. HotelBrand started loyalty programs with around 30 million customers & almost 40 billion points in circulation. HotelBrand is currently not growing well but still at the 10th place. However, HotelBrand realizes that the following factors could the renovate of their LRP program.
1: Infrastructure - High liquidity will increase the number of transactions that need to be performed daily.
2: Consumer experience - According to current situation build trends and operate via mobile apps, application have more features has to be developed. On the other hand apps easy to install and easy to to use.
3: Cost & time - Costs of creating and then maintaining such a program would be huge. Moreover, the launch of an overhauled LRP program also requires a lot of development time.
Most LRP programs exist in silos, belong to a certain brand and cannot be easily transferred or traded with, and peer to peer based platform that facilitates the transfer and trade between different Loyalty reward points programs has not existed.
