XinFin Meet-Ups Around Africa, and here is why you should get involved
XinFin Crypto Meet-Up In Harare
XinFin Loves Africa!
On the first of September, I hosted my first XDC meet-up in Harare and it attracted a number of young people who have different backgrounds and qualifications in the capital city of Zimbabwe. To make the meet-up interesting and not as boring, I suggested everyone to grab drink while we had the meet-up. This kept everyone in the conversation since they were having their favorite beer/drink while listening to something they have never heard about before - unlike some boring lectures. XinFin has seen the potential to get Africa involved with their technology.
What is XinFin
XinFin is an organization that is on a mission to improve the overall deficit in the global infrastructure with the help of Blockchain technology. The core idea behind XinFin's initiative is to make the transactions more secure and transparent among the parties involved in a cross-border trade. XinFin, as an organization; believes in establishing an environment that will help businesses to thrive without having to worry about the hassles of the international fund transfer.
XDC is now listed on Golix Exchange
Golix (https://golix.com/), the first cryptocurrency exchange in Zimbabwe which recently listed XDC on their exchange made it possible for users in Africa to purchase and sell XDC on the exchange. The listing of XDC on the exchange has came with the need to create a community of people who will actually get to use the token, therefore the need to create a community in Africa.
About XinFin Meet-Ups
XinFin meet-ups aims are introducing cryptocurrency and particularly XDC to both a layman and pros. With a brief introduction to cryptocurrencies, it was not a difficult topic to talk about since 80% of the audience had generally an idea of what was being talked about. A few questions where asked about security and how safe one could be when using cryptocurrencies, with one of the audiences quoting a friend who lost all her funds in her cryptocurrency wallet. Another question was asked on the risks associated with cryptocurrencies which Tawanda Kembo answered saying cryptocurrencies are a huge risk, and once one invest in cryptocurrencies they should do so at their own risk.
The meet-ups will go down to teach individuals how XinFin works and how they can leverage the Hybrid Blockchain that was created by XinFin.
1st of September Meetup
