The hiring of two former HP operators: Is this the catalyst to revive XTRABYTES?
Today on the date of August 7th 2018, XTRABYTES have announced their long awaited press release of a new CEO Allen Rothwell and COO Ashley Norman.
It seems like a lifetime ago that the days of opening twitter and reading tweet after tweet of bullish speculation, an almost cult like community of investors passionately optimistic about the future ahead. It has been a while since the feeling of optimism has been felt by the community but will this recent news spark some of that lost optimism?
Before that question can be answered, lets take a closer look at the new CEO and COO.
The two newcomers have very promising resumes, Rothwell was a former National Account Manager for HP. Has a proven track record of working with client’s business models and bringing them to fruition. I see him playing a key role in organising the project and simplifying their future goals. I’m sure he will play a key role in the updated roadmap.

Norman was a Commercial Graphics Divisional Manager for HP. He played a key role in promoting HP in Canada. His marketing achievements should provide the exposure XBY needs in terms of creating partnerships with other projects and creating a plan to reach out to other organisations. Their history working with top companies like HP will bring positive attention and will be exciting to see where their experience takes the project in the future.

Hopefully this can bring a bit more transparency to what XBY aims to achieve and add more drive to achieving its much-speculated potential. The news is likely to restore some much-needed enthusiasm to the passionate XBY community, in what has been a grim 2018 since the late 2017 bull run. The project has been swamped with delays for its final test net which cannot proceed until they get the patent pending status they are filing for. Progress in development has stalled for this very reason and has been responded with a wave of frustration from the community. This has resulted in their investors for the last 7 months receiving UX updates on the wallets rather than the technical updates of the promising proof of signature technology they craved.
There is no doubt this is a step in the right direction and maybe we will see a breakout from the anonymity we have seen in the past months. With this announcement Allen Rothwell and Ashley Norman both have the attributes to bring clarity, drive and ambition to XBY.
It will be intriguing to see where they go from here, so I would say the community has every right to be optimistic again.
Appreciate the summary @dazzabellz
Couldn't agree more.
Greetings @delphinus - us too. Much planning, movement, and execution ahead. On a corporate - not community level basis.
@dazzabellz, I do not understand anything written
