#2 LIV - a classy lady
Liv is a noble young lady at the age of 47 years. Half a year ago we saw her for the first time and we were immediately crazy about her. It was love at first sight, so we couldn't resist doing everything necessary to finally call her „our own“. At this time we hadn't realised that Liv had the wish to be remodelled during winter. As it's normal for a classy lady, the first facelift should be in her late forties. We couldn't and still can't resist satisfying her wishes and making her shine once again. Aside from some cosmetic operations, the motor and the wooden teak deck were the focus of our pampering programme. At the same time, we reduced Liv’s huge inventory (in the hull). As our limited space has to be used in the best possible way, we will only take tools of the best quality and durability on board.
We are really looking forward to that day in September when we pack our stuff and set sails to the Caribbean. Until this day comes we will have to play a lot of “Tetris” to manage to get everything on board. As we already told you in #1 (https://steemit.com/sail/@seasicksailing/seasick-the-introduction), the project and the blog will be about a lot more than just sailing. But to live a nameless life isn't a good idea. After a long period of brainstorming and discussion, we decided to call ourselves „SEASICK“! Our voyage shall be a sick adventure. We'll have sick experiences and sick surf sessions and at the same time we'll discover the beauty of our planet! We are addicted to the coolest and sickest place on earth - the sea! Nevertheless, our earth and its seas are literally sick because unfortunately mankind does not show quite as much consideration for the environment and nature as it should.
We plan to draw attention to this growing problem through our lifestyle during the journey. The humpback whale is a perfect match for Liv and us. He is relaxed and old, and has no problem doing his own thing. He appears slow, but he can travel long distances without any struggle. He suffers as well as nature, but he is still beautiful, almost as beautiful as Liv. With the competent help of some livlovers, we created this website as a perfect place to spread Liv’s beauty, all of her adventures and the important story she has to tell. Enjoy!
Awesome photos. I can't believe how blue the water is!
