Yoga Photos from my 5 hour Hike!

in #yoga7 years ago

Hi Steemit friends!
I've been a little absent from here because there have been so many crazy awesome exciting scary nerve-wrecking life changes going on at the moment. Fortunately I had at least a little amount of clarity in saying YES to a super long 5 hour, 3,000+ ft. elevation gain hike in beautiful Oregon.

It was definitely worth the views, but we didn't bring enough water! We each brought 2 bottles but that wasn't enough to last us the whole way up and down. The total mileage of the hike was about 11.4 miles which was a perfect training session for my half marathon, which is this Sunday! Woot woot!

My best girl is flying all the way up from California to run it with me. I can't wait!!! This will be my 4th 1/2 and I'm ready to PR it. Fingers crossed! Do you all love hiking or running? Any of you have any favorite running tips for recovery / mental preparation before the race? Always looking to improve. Cheers!

Oh wow the views are awesome up there, definitely worth the effort. I am much more into cycling. I guy from work recently came back from doing the Forssa night marathon in Finland, he said it was a great experience.

Good luck for Sunday, hope the weather is good to you.

thank you so much! Yeah it was a brutal last hour and a half but definitely worth the view :) a night marathon?! That's so cool! So it takes place at night time and goes into the day? How long did it take you?!

Yeah you start early morning so you get to see the sunrise. The guy is very fit, he said he did it in just under 3 hours.

Oh my goodness that is INCREDIBLE!!!!
