When I started practicing in yoga exercises, I thought I knew everything perfectly what I was going to meet. I had two pairs of delicious pentacle and a brand new yoga mat. I was completely ready to start my journey towards flexibility, and peace! I had no idea that yoga had in store a bit of surprise to me, is the mundane that is more profound.

Looking back, there are a few things that I would have wanted to know, which could make it a little easier for my journey into yoga.

Does Clothing Matter?

It feels that the right clothing for yoga is one that does not restrict movement and makes you feel comfortable. The Lamp yoga adds that white dresses are the best thing. But these guidelines leave a wide margin for interpretation and a good margin for error. I don't think you need to buy garments made of magic organic fibers. But I learned that wearing large t-shirts, while take a position upside down can be embarrassing; as well as pants that are too tight. Opaque style tights yoga pant can show much more of what you want to do. Think about the type of yoga you're practicing, the type of positions and movements that you probably realize, and dressed accordingly!

The flexibility is not everything

When I started to take yoga classes, I had known that years later I would still be able to touch my toes, I don't know if I would have taken the trouble to go forward. Whether you practice once a week or every day, nothing seems to bring you closer to your goal, and this has always been a great source of frustration. But despite my lack of success in this field, I have seen great improvements in my strength, endurance and capacity of the lung. Any physique goal you put for your practice, remember that there are many ways in which yoga improves your physical health. Celebrates the results each time they arrive.

Changes Expected in my Body

Does much exercise change your body? Yoga changes the way you see the world. Not quickly, not suddenly. But looking back at my habits, it is incredible how far both have come, and not only for the power supply. Yoga can change the way you relate to other people, to the planet, to your work. Of course, all change, and grow in life, with or without the practice of yoga. But sometimes it seems that adopting a yoga practice to adjust both, the most rapid personal growth. At times it may seem a little strange, especially when you do not understand from where comes this urgency to eat lots of vegetables, but it is incredibly exciting!

Doing yoga will not convert into a saint

We know that not all yoga teachers or friends look like the most peaceful people in the world. Part of the reason why I decided to take yoga classes was because I wanted a bit of what my friends had. Well, yoga will change things undoubtedly, but this does not mean that suddenly we become 100% loving and full of inner peace. As much as you try to remember to breathe, and to radiate positive energy, it can always happen to go crazy for a machine that will cut the road in traffic. The relationship with the colleague or the relative difficult will always have moments of clash, and there will be days when you'll skip practice to go shopping or to vegetate on the couch. Yoga is not a series of magical locations that convert all in Mother Teresa. And that's okay. But can certainly help to remind us to be kind, and also help to remember to love each other as we are.
