Tai Chi in Larnaca
Since September 2017 there is a new Tai Chi style ‚NowModernTaiChi‘ available in District Larnaca.
‚NowModernTaiChi at the Sea‘ can be trained in group classes, in social event classes on weekend workshops and as personal training one-by-one. It is also available as a supporting program in the District Larnaca.
Right now there have been trainings in Psematismenos, Maroni, Tersefanou.

The possibility to relax after the training in the Caffè enjoying the evening sharing the experiences, ask questions and get to know each other better. This is not a must but an option to combine the training and get more comfortable with the group and the special ‚NowModernTaiChi‘-spirit.

‚NowModernTaiChi‘ is the Name of a Tai Chi style which is based on Yang-Style and suits the needs of western people for effective training concerning time and effort. It is easy to access for people of any age especially people 40+ who have already experienced back pain, sholder pain, neck pain and headache and surch for a solution to easen this. It helps to develop and strengthen the inner muscle structure and helps you to establish a better posture which allows you to breath better. This supports the flow of your inner energy circulation which enhance your well being.

The Name ‚NowModernTaiChi‘ indicates with ‚Modern‘ that this Tai Chi stile is not pure traditional Tai Chi but it is based on traditional Tai Chi Yang style. It focuses on a reduced set of movements. All the difficult movements (deep stands) are out but still includes the main principles of Tai Chi, the philosophy and the realisation of the movements. Sometimes the moves look pretty the same like moves in gymnastic, but there are differencies. To understand the differences gives access to the so called ‚inner‘ Kung Fu.

The word ‚Now‘ in ‚NowModernTaiChi‘ is a word game with my family name ‚Nau‘ which has the same written pronunciation like the englisch word ‚now‘. You can interprete this as do ModernTaiChi >now< or do >Nau< ModernTaiChi.

‚NowModernTaiChi‘ consists of four sections which are: ‚Warming up‘, ‚Intermediate‘, ‚Walking‘ and ‚Simianfo PlayTaiChi‘. The last part goes into the very single steps of the single movent of Simianfo PlayTaiChi.
The sections ‚Warming up‘, ‚Intermediate‘, ‚Walking‘ prepare yourselfe to be able to perform ‚Simianfo PlayTaiChi‘ at its best to have the best precondition to come into flow which is in my oppinion the only reason why people stick to TaiChi. Even so it has an easy access your body has to adapt and this is – general speaking – alway connected to an certain amount of effort. But an lazzy aproach will result only in a weak result.
The ‚Warming up‘ section consists of 32 exercices which built oneself up one after another in a – in my oppinion – genious way. There are streching exercices and exercices which strengthen the inner muscle structure. Breathing is included in this section combined with the exercices which I find is very effective. It has the effect to cool down and calm your mind. This results in a high quality relaxation and balance. Balance is the key factor to health – a often forgotten aspect.
