That may not always be the case as more miners and users join the Zclassic revolution but the trade off of speed for privacy is not a bad one to make as most people can use public addresses most of the time and private addresses when they feel it is needed.

Zcash is great don't get me wrong I see that coin increasing in marketcap to rival Ethereum and Bitcoin because the foundation behind it has it's funding built right in to the blockchain. To build infrastructure costs money. Bitcoin built infrastructure without a founders tax and so can ZCL but Zcash can do it FASTER.

The combination of Zcash moving in to the crypto-infrastructure with things like atms and strategic partnerships while ZCL retains the community owned roots of crypto can create a total 360 degree win!

ZCL and Zcash are both asic proof right now and as long as the devs are committed to remaing asic proof I will support and mine these coins. GPU mining gives the little guy a chance to become a mining farm while the best Asics are hoarded by secretive and collusive groups.

True decentralization requires coins that are profitable or could one day be in profit from mining on your personal computer. You might be in a collapsing failed state and need some food money. Or you might think the price will increase. GPU mining allows people to mine at a small loss or breakeven profit today on a crap computer and possibly hit it rich tomorrow as the coin finds a much higher marketcap.

People talk about digital gold as if Bitcoin is the true 01010 version of hard assets. I would say that digital gold has to have complete or near complete anonymity. If you've bought Silver or Gold from a coin shop you know they only take cash. For Bitcoin to be digital gold you have to jump through a myriad of hoops first. For Zcash and Zclassic to be digital gold and silver you need only start using private addresses. Privacy and anonymity is essential for true digital gold. It has nothing to do with crime or terrorism and everything to do with capitalism and financial freedom.
