For Those Unfamiliar With The Zeitgeist Movement

in #zeitgeist7 years ago (edited)

Zeitgeist was originally a documentary made by Peter Joseph, in my opinion an unsung hero, about a decade ago. Although he made this film all by himself, down to the narration and music, it has since spawned a movement that took the name of the film. He has since made two more Zeitgeist films, among many other things, and the movement has gone global really fucking fast.

As many on here already understand, blockchain technologies will soon change the way things work in our society, down to the very core of what we traditionally think of as requirements for societal management. I envision a future where giving control of our lives to a ruler, a stranger, is no longer necessary. A future where certain things like clean food and water are guaranteed for everyone, not just those who can pay for it, is what I envision. This is very much possible if the idea that someone has to make money from everyone's actions is abandoned. That is something not talked about enough on here I think, a world without money, not just without fiat money.

The Zeitgeist movement promotes a version of humanity where cooperation, not competition, is the driving mechanism of social interaction, and where there is no market system (which can only view the environment as an inventory for exploitation) to get in the way of the interest we all have of preserving the beauty of our planet.

Here is a link to their website where they go into much more detail. They have a free pdf to download which covers everything, and I mean everything.

@proditor I absolutely love this post. I remember watching the documentary and it blew my mind. I would love a world where we are all treated as equals. I would highly recommend everyone to watch Zeitgeist, I think we would all live in peace if everyone worked together for the greater good, there would be no homelessness, The sick would get treated and the poor would never go without food regardless of their race or financial circumstances. If everyone would contribute their own skills to make the world a better place, and create a huge paradigm shift in humanity.

Great article looking forward to your next post!

peace and love to all.

I would suggest to watch Zeitgeist Addendum, first. The first film in the trilogy seems to turn a lot of people away from the movement. Unless you have time to watch all three, consecutively, stick with the second film, Zeitgeist Addendum.
