Is the Ziber ICO a SCAM? Have you invested in the ICO?

Hi Steemnation!

I was wondering what people thoughts are on Ziber and how legit they are?

Let's start at the basics... The company seems to have a really interesting concept to which is basically a blockchain based communications/telephony network that hugely undercuts service like Skype and Viber. What makes it interesting is that the company already have mobile clients for both Android and iOS (but not downloadable from the respective app stores but via a 3rd party site) and plans for the next phase of development to migrate clients to the blockchain.

It is usually quite rare to see this for a company before they launch their ICOs, most companies just have a whitepaper or maybe an alpha release. This all seems very promising. However, having a look at the team, they don't have anyone from the telco industry on their team... Now that is not always necessary but when I new companies doing ICOs I always look at the team and whether they have someone on the team that has knowledge of the industry they are trying to disrupt.

The other thing I also look at is the geographic spread of the team, this one seems to be spread across at least 4 different countries. In fact, there is very little info that I could find online about anyone on the core team apart from Mark Braun, none of the other 3 seem to exist on LinkedIn or other social sites! I just find that a bit weird.

Looking at their communities, (Slack, twitter, medium, bitcointalk etc.) Nothing!

Github... It's a mess frankly.

Scam? Seems like that to me.

Anyway, I wanted to get peoples thought on this.

Sort:

I bought the Ziber ICO and now the site is down.. :( such ICOs are killing our dreams

Also invested in the ICO. The site is back but there is no status on how far ICO is. It could be just problems with the site.

Does anyone have any information about the Ziber hack?

I cannot seem to find any response from Ziber team. The only conclusion I can draw from all this is that they stole all the ICO money.

Going to the etherscan.io and looking at the original ICO address: 0xf0a924661b0263e5ce12756d07f45b8668c53380 it seems like there is only 37 Eth.

Looking at the new wallet address: 0xab98922ca2be48214539c7d5dc63a343d14d7227 there is only 8.7Eth.

Now the Ziber.io site appears to have been taken over by disgruntled hackers... https://ziber.io/

I have to admit its the first ICO that has requested me to REMOVE a review. But didn't get in touch but simply filed under a copyright dispute. So from me I would say its definitely seems very much like a scam.
