Camel

Back in 2017 I noticed I didn’t have any cologne. Not one scent. I used to have a collection, but over the years through one way or another I managed to lose and use all my cologne. I hadn’t even bothered to keep up with what was new on the market. I began doing my research and found that like everything else there is a whole niche world of fragrance I was not aware of. I bought several colognes a few fresh scents to start. In 2017 my big purchase was a bottle of Orto Parisi Boccanera a gourmand chocolate scent. Recently I noticed I mostly had fresh citrus clean smelling scents. I began looking for something more as the months have gotten colder.

I recently discovered a line of fragrances made by a company in Canada called Zoologist. Each fragrance is meant to smell like an animal’s habitat or in some cases the animal itself. I currently own Squid and now Camel.
Camel has fast become my favorite fragrance for winter. I can’t stop wearing it in the cold.

The bottle presentation is amazing! The cap is metal and has some weight to it. It fits snug onto the bottle so you can grab it by the cap (not suggested) and not drop the bottle. That cap is wrapped in leather and the bottle itself is crystal clear to show off the great looking juice inside. The sticker is gloss print with embossed gold trim and print. The image of the camel is a work of art. I’d love to have a small print of each animal to go with my collection.

It envelopes my senses with this boozy amber accord that deepens into a dark and sensual incense. A slight animalic musk on the dry down really just makes this thing pop off my skin. I really can’t get enough of it. I’ve used a noticeable amount of my bottle already and I’m starting to worry I may need a second bottle “just in case” I don’t, that bottle of Boccanera I mentioned earlier is halfway down and I’ve had it since 2017.

I’m still madly in love with camel, but I can’t wait to pick up my next bottle from Zoologist Beaver.
