After class, Xiao Xiao felt bored and decided to find Yin Shaojie, curious about the carefree life he must be leading.
She made her way to the second-year building without a second thought, heading straight for Class S.
She didn’t even have to think about it—this conclusion was drawn from the information Yu Zhe had given her.
Though she wasn’t sure about Yin Shaojie’s grades, judging by his constant flirtations, his academic performance couldn’t be too impressive. However, the Yin family was incredibly wealthy, a household that oozed affluence. It was safe to assume he’d be in Class S.
Moreover, with Yin Shaojie’s arrogant nature, he would never allow himself to be placed in anything less than the best class.
Soon, she found the classroom for Class S. Peering in through the back door, she caught sight of the man she was looking for.
Damn it, he was actually hugging a girl, whispering sweet nothings to her.
Considering she was now technically his fiancée, wasn’t it normal for her to feel a bit jealous?
Hmph, Xiao Xiao justified herself in her mind. She wasn’t jealous because she liked him—no, it was simply because she was his fiancée.
This guy was such a jerk. He knew it was her first day at school, that she was unfamiliar with everything, and yet, instead of helping her get acquainted with the place, he was busy flirting.
It made her furious!
A sly glint appeared in Xiao Xiao’s eyes, and a mischievous smile tugged at her lips. "If you don’t show me any respect, neither will I. Just wait."
She quickly retreated to the stairwell and grabbed hold of a male student, flashing him a sweet smile as she said in a sugary tone, "Excuse me, could you please go to Class S and call Yin Shaojie? Just tell him his wife is looking for him. I’d really appreciate it."
The boy, a bespectacled bookworm, was caught off guard by her charm. He nodded dumbly, saying, "Oh, okay. I’ll go right now."
Xiao Xiao hid around the corner, watching as the bookworm entered Class S and, without hesitation, called out, "Yin Shaojie, your wife is looking for you!"
The noisy classroom fell deathly silent, as if a pin could be heard dropping.
Xiao Xiao could almost imagine the wide-eyed expressions and stifled giggles from everyone in the room.
A few seconds later, she saw Yin Shaojie walk toward her, his face dark with annoyance.
She waved from behind the wall, signaling that she was there.
With a look that seemed to say, "Of course it’s you," Yin Shaojie strode over and asked, "Xiao Xiao, I knew it was you. Did you come here just to make trouble?"
Xiao Xiao hopped out from her hiding spot. Though she was at a disadvantage in height, she raised her chin defiantly and said, "You scoundrel! You’re too busy chasing girls to pay any attention to me. Just wait—tonight, when we get back to the Yin family, I’ll tell Aunt Yin all about it! Hmph!"
She crossed her arms, not the least bit afraid of him. After all, the one in the wrong here was him, wasn’t it?
Yin Shaojie sighed helplessly, saying, "Little miss, what exactly do you want?"
Xiao Xiao glanced behind him and, sure enough, saw the girl he had been holding earlier, now following him and looking in their direction.
She smirked mischievously, her smile both sly and playful. She looked at him with a twinkle in her eye and said, "You’ve made me angry, so if you want to make it up to me, you’ll have to follow my orders."
Yin Shaojie knew her all too well. Seeing that playful glint in her eyes, he could tell she was up to no good.
"What do you want me to do?" he asked, leaning casually against the wall, one hand in his pocket, looking at her with a teasing expression.
Xiao Xiao, staring at his charming demeanor, snorted with contempt.
"Simple. Come closer, hug me, and give me a kiss on the cheek. Hurry up!"
