Artist of the Day ~ @M31
This account is meant to bring artists into the spotlight. We are still small, we are still young but we are here to stay, give and support anyway that we can.
What would life be without art? A dull, meaningless existence.
What would art be without life? An empty, white canvas.
This blog is here to bring you all these beautiful, imaginative creatures that use their skills to express themselves through their work.
Today's pick is brought to you by @tarazkp
Our Artist of the Day: @m31
Artist, Stranger, OCD curator
A mixed media artist that bases her work around watercolor and details with ink, she always puts herself into each piece and is a little bit of a perfectionist. Each post comes accompanied by a few paragraphs that compliment the works and adds a dimension for the audience, a window into the artist's mind and heart.
The softness of the watercolor is often constrained by the hard and sharp ink that binds and brings the forms of what is hidden within into focus. She labors over the stippling to ensure clean points and spends hours on each piece to get what she wants on to the paper.
Each one and the words that connect is a personal journey of her life and perspectives of the world and to view and read is to walk along side and see what she sees and feel what she feels.
At times, she also picks up a camera and shows where her heart lays, in nature, where the trees, sky, soil and water dominate her frame. Again the words give insight into her world, a glimpse behind the curtain where one gets he feeling only a privileged few get to see.
Here are some of @m31's recent posts:
