Dandelion - an illustration for 'The Girl who Sings to Snails'
Scattering seeds
Today, I've been drawing the final illustrations for my short story 'The Girl who Sings to Snails'. This is an illustration of a dandelion, that the main character Lucy picks from her garden.
I used drawing ink with a dip pen to draw the illustrations, and added colour using watercolours. Finally white lines and highlights were added using a white pen.
'Lucy walked over to the patch of dandelions and picked the largest silver one she could find, as she twirled around in a circle scattering the seeds she began to sing a little song to herself.'

Wow, the drawing is lovely, I like the colour combination. Good job.
Your drawings are most enjoyable to watch, really a bit of magic in them !
What talent! Great color usage. So simple yet speaks volumes!
Thank you, it fits in with the story I'm writing.
Wow really cool. I don't like them growing all over my lawn though lol.
Yes, but they look so pretty!
I agree but so are these ..
